Congratulations to the 2012 Theresa Neil Research Award Recipient!
Tracy Noyes, Marketing Director at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, is the 2012 recipient of the Theresa Neil Memorial Research Award. Noyes will receive a $4,000 grant for her study of the "Effectiveness of Centralized Administrative Reorganization of Summer Session." Congratulations to Tracy!
The award was announced on May 17 by Donna Shea, Chair of the Summer Session Research Consortium, which sponsors the Theresa Neil Memorial Research Fund in honor of Theresa Ann Neil, a nearly 20 year member of the staff at at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Born in 1948, Theresa passed away on June 25, 1994 after an accident that took her life and that of her husband, D.C. Neil. She served as Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Administration and Director of Continuing Education and Extension at Duluth.
The Summer Session Research Consortium consists of the North American Association of Summer Sessions (NAASS); the North Central Conference on Summer Schools (NCCSS); the Western Association of Summer Session Administrators (WASSA); and the Association of University Summer Sessions (AUSS).
