Minimum Enrollments for Summer Courses

Posted By Caitlin Cochran, Friday, April 6, 2018

We are in the process of revising our minimum enrollment policy for summer credit undergraduate and graduate courses. How do you determine minimum enrollment for your summer courses? How does it compare to the fall and spring minimum enrollment policies? Finally, at what point do you determine whether to cancel or run a course?

Hello: At Bowling Green State University, we have an institutional proration chart for both summer and winter session classes. Each college used to have their own unique version of one, but we reached a consensus on a single one in 2016. It's worked out fairly well, and is part of our collective bargaining agreement. I would be happy to share it with you if you'd like. -- Paul Cesarini
